During July and August, Siobhan and Claire, the TPSP Project Workers, organized three teen parent peer support trips to Fun Galaxy in Swords.
After meeting here in Doras Bui, we got a minibus to Fun Galaxy which is a children’s indoor play arena. The mums were able to have a chat and get to know each over coffee whilst the kids were playing with Claire and Siobhan in the play area. After we had our lunch, we all headed back to Doras Bui.
Eleven of our teen mums along with their children took part. Everyone had a great time on the trips and friendships grew amongst the mums as well as between their children. It was a great chance for some of the teen mums to meet other young mums and hoping we will have more similar trips in the future.
